In the duo Skáidi traditional yoiker Inga Juuso and jazz bassist Steinar Raknes create a new, unrefined expression that transcends both traditions. Through a decade of musical companionship they have influenced each other and developed a unique musical energy and sense of communication. Their distinctive musical landscape calms the icy plateau wind and makes the dark winter months seem snug and beautiful.
Their debut album “Where the rivers meet” was given outstanding reviews throughout the country.
Their second album Headland released Automn 2011.
